Back with AP
Thankfully, I was able to get approved and return with AP. For those of you that have returned, I got my AP document stamped but the BP officer didn't stamp my passport. To be honest, they weren't too familiar with the process but they were pretty nice. They stamped both AP documents but only wrote the paroles date on one. I asked if they needed to stamp my passport but they said no. Is that correct or should they have stamped my passport too? Also, how long before the i94 is available online? It's not coming up and I'm worried I won't be able to adjust my status. (I have an approved I130)

Re: Back with AP
you should be able to get it hours after being admitted. mine was available within hours. make sure you input the correct information.

They stamped my passport, but I am not sure what is the exact protocol.

Re: Back with AP
So I got a similar story.
I returned through customs. Officer sent me into the customs room to get the paperwork done. This is my first time traveling. I have multiple entries for work reasons. They stamped both AP documents and wrote parole date "until dec 13, 2016 (one year after today). I was a bit confused about that. They also DID NOT stamp my passport. I went to Mexico for one day and returned the same day through eagle pass. Also, I just checked my i-94 and is also not online, why do you want to check this? What do we have to do with it? I have the AP document with me. I kept my passport, one AP letter, and the i-94 form. |
Re: Back with AP
The important part of AP is getting the I-94. Check it online https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov. They ask for the digits on there when you adjust status for the I-130.
