I was NOT cleared for E-Verify by my employer.
 

So here is the story.
I started a new job on November 12th.
Last Wednesday(21th), I was notified by HR that E-Verify returned a message saying further review is needed in my case.
Unfortunately, the person in charge is out for vacation until the 28th and all I can do it wait.

I had a valid SSN since 2001 that says "Valid for Employment only with INS Authorization."
I even went to the SSA Office to update my work authorization after receiving my EAD.
I was cleared when I used Self Check by USCIS.
But E-Verify rejected me :(

And the statistics is against me since only 0.28% out of 16 million applicants are cleared after initial mismatch.

Hopefully this doesn't happen to any of you guys here in the forum.
I'll keep you guys posted once I find out exactly what went wrong.

I just tried the self-check program with the new SSN I recently received, and this is what i got:

"Sorry, we are unable to give you access to the Self Check service at this time because the third party identity assurance service was unable to generate enough information about you in order to create a quiz to confirm your identity. The information you provided has not been checked against U.S. government databases for employment eligibility."

Not sure if this will cause any problem when I try to get a new job..? Maybe it wouldn't work for the new SSNs.

The site we constantly check for card production to show until finally it does and then returns not enough information? What is this? Some kind of sick joke?

I had a meeting today and we found out that HR entered my birthdate incorrectly. When she ran E-Verify again with the correct info, I was instantly work authorized.

E-Verify works with a third party to do an initial quiz to verify your identity the only problem is that the third party is a credit agency so if you don't have any credit your not going to be able to do a self E-Verify
