I-693 When to do it?
I'm going to try and get my mom's paperwork completed and submitted for AOS before Oct 15, but I don't think there's enough time to get the I-693 done due to needing an appointment with the civil surgeon + waiting for the bloodwork results. If I submit all of the applications except the I-693, can she get the medical exam done once she receives the RFE? Does she have to do the medical exam within 60 days of submitting her applications or can she do the medical exam after receiving the RFE for it?
It's not clear to me if she has to do the medical exam within 60 days before submitting her paperwork then hold onto it or if she can get it done after receiving RFE. |
Re: I-693 When to do it?
I thought they no longer do RFEs and just do straight up denial + deportation proceedings?

USCIS said that they were seeing lawyers and applicants abusing the system by submitting incomplete applications, simply to get a place in line. So, they said that if they ever saw that, they would just deny it. The news blew it out proportion and caused people to freak out. Frankly, I agree with USCIS on this one. |
Re: I-693 When to do it?
there are so many uscis designated civil surgeons that can finish your immigration physicals in a matter of days. there is even a directory online somewhere on uscis's website to look up the nearest one to you. why would you send an imcomplete application and risk it?
