New Section: Get Into College

I think this site would be a lot better for the people still in high school if there were a college section. I know the search function is available and works but most new people do not even know what the dream act is and believe that they cannot go to college because of the negatives they see and hear. I see the In-state tuition stuff but most people can't afford that either, so there should be a section on info about private colleges/universities and where people in college can post their stories or edit essays or give advice to those that seek it. Right now i am seeing posts about college in the Lounge and in Other Information which indicates that there needs to be more organization.

Thank you

I'd like this too. I'm graduating high school soon, but haven't applied to any colleges because i don't really know how with the whole being illegal thing. Add to the fact that i need help on the financial aspect of college as well, a college section would help.

Depending on what state you are in, your only option might be community college. The reason I say this is because in california the uc and csu application deadline already passed. tuition isn't as expensive in community college compared to universities. Plus, you maybe eligible for an AB 540 form which will allow you to pay in state tuition. Any questions, feel free to send me a private message. My brother works for the the career center at Cal State Long Beach. Also, please note that everything is accessible online.
