Bay Area USCIS offices CLOSED due to coronavirus

Almost all the counties in the San Francisco Bay Area in California released a legal order yesterday requiring all residents to shelter at home until March 7. As a result, all businesses (except those that are deemed necessary like medical, grocery stores, banks, gas stations, take-out restaurants) have had to close. This includes ALL USCIS offices in the area. Here is the link on USCIS's website indicating the closures:

I was supposed to have my biometrics appointment for my AOS work permit next week so now that it's gonna be closed for 3 weeks, I'm screwed. My DACA work permit expires 5/31/20 so I really can't wait until the offices open up again in a few weeks. I'm planning on driving out to the ASC offices in Modesto or Sacramento and attempting a walk-in out there.

If anyone else lives in the Bay Area and also has biometrics scheduled during this closure, I suggest you either reschedule you appointment with USCIS to after March 7 or do what I'm doing and drive out a few hours and try a walk-in at another office.

That is probably your best option to drive to another city to do them.

Best of luck.

My parents went to the modesto one and its closed. Do you have the receipt letter they sent you? I remember reading a part there, that if you meet all requirements and your permit is delayed you can show that paper and your work permit will be valid for 90 days after expiration. Double-check it just to be sure.
