Joint Bank Account
I sent bank statements but my wife is an authorized user and so both of our names are on the statements. Do you think this might cause an issue? They can just think that she made all those transactions, not me.

Re: Joint Bank Account
'He said She Said'.. At a minimum your name is on the account. If USCIS want's to investigate they might RFE. I doubt they might want to get that crazy unless your case is dependent on this evidence.

Re: Joint Bank Account
Yea, if your name is on it I don't think there should be an issue.

Re: Joint Bank Account
Well, do what I did. Make a copy of your credit card as well. You and your wife will have different credit card numbers. On the bank statement circle the credit card used, and put a copy of your credit card with your number on it. If it makes you feel more comfortable, mark out the the numbers that are "x'd" out on your statement.
USCIS knows that married couples or couples in long-term committed relationships will have joint accounts. Same with minors and their parents. Do not worry about it too much. |
Re: Joint Bank Account
Thanks for the reassuring words guys!
@ Task_1539, I already sent out my application. My wife doesnt even have her own debit card under my account. She's just an authorized user in case she ever needs access to my bank account. |
Re: Joint Bank Account
I have somehow the same issue, I am on the account with my parents. I was thinking on using that as evidence for work permit worksheet. But not quite sure how to go about it.
Since I am NOT working, I don't know what to put as asset or as income. Because I clearly have none. Any suggestions? |
Re: Joint Bank Account
If you have no assets or income then you have $0.
Going about it 100 different ways will all lead to the same conclusion. Put the real number and explain below. Simple. |
