BioMetrics Question

I want to get my Biometrics done as soon as possible but my Appointment date is in mid April. Can I walk in before my appointment date and get it done or do i have to wait ?

Any insight, advice, or recent experience would be appreciated. I dont want to take the time off from work but not able to get it done.

Yes, you can go at any time and nicely ask them to let you do it early. They may, or may not let you do it early.

If you're expiring soon, it is worth the try. If not, there is not much to gain.

Re: BioMetrics Question

You can not walk-in at any location. I went to mine 1 day before my Bio date and they made it clear to me that they only accept emergency walk-ins. Depending on the location, you will have to make a good excuse to convince them. I had to talk to three people to convince them. I was the only one there and they really gave me hard time.

You loose nothing by trying. I think it depends on location and people. I never did a walk-in til this renewal. My appointment was scheduled in Austin (where I live) and I walked in a week before the appointment to the Dallas location since I was visiting a friend and It was my day off. They let me do it without a hassle.

Yes you can I did. I went to the Philly one instead of Dover and I went a week early. I don't drive so I told that to the IO and he was okay with it.

Yes you can. I called USCIS a few years ago and told them I would be on a work trip. They told me I could just go to the nearest USCIS of whatever city I was at. I went to the one in Kansas City with no issues.

Re: BioMetrics Question

I did a walk in at the Dallas location 2 weeks before my appointment was scheduled. I didn’t say anything to them I just handed them the paperwork and he looked at it and stamped it and I was on my way within 10 mins. This was at around 2 p.m.
