I just got my SSN today in the mail. So happy, man this seems too good to be true *pinch* oww!

Ok this is true :DDDDDD

Went into SSA on 10/23 so about a week, not too shabby. Now I'm going to relinquish my ITIN and put all my earnings on my new social. I'm loving it!

You can go right away. Just make sure to bring your EAD card and your official birth certificate or a valid passport. They don't accept expired passports.

Depends on the person you get. I took my birth certificate and my EXPIRED passport from 2008 and i had no problem. I did have my school ID just in case and my school records (didnt show them to the lady), but didn't even need them.

But they only need one of the two. So if you only had the expired passport that might have been a problem.
