AP for Volunteering

Hi, I'm looking to go outside the U.S. to volunteer as a Teacher for a couple weeks. I was wondering if a volunteer confirmation from the program would be sufficient as evidence for Advance Parole. Thank you for your help.

Thanks for that! So the organization doesn't have to be as accredited as a University as long as there is proper documentation?

By the way, good luck and safe travels! Good on you for helping out! I'm sure you will be fine out there!

It does not. Try https://www.volunteerhq.org/ or http://jamaicavolunteerprograms.com/ - I was approved using both of these programs.

I cant really answer that, dont know the guidelines or criteria, however the organization I applied with was not a University. It was www.volunteerhq.org I read amoney3 previous post and applied for a medical volunteer program with that site he recommended. My package: my nursing license and all certifications, letter from the organization, booklet that gave a discription of the project and a letter from me. I got approved in little over a month. I ask for a week they gave me 2 ( 4days before and 3 days after) .

So when I fill out Form I-131, what would I put for the reason? Would this fall under humanitarian, educational, or employment?

Did you have to request a letter and a booklet/brochure or did they sent those to you anyway for signing up?
