Travel to Hawaii. Possible?
 

Does anyone travel to Hawaii before?
Is that possible with a valid passport.
I live in NY but I traveled to Florida and CA before with my passport w/o any problem, i wonder is it possible to travel to Hawaii.
Cause I'm planning to apply college in Hawaii.

I know someone from New York that traveled to Hawaii and he's undocumented, but he had a driver's license. Don't use you passport, only a valid state ID.

Hawaii is no different than any other state. Then again I wouldn't risk it with a passport.

I think it would be precarious to apply to a college in Hawaii if you'll have to travel back & forth between the mainland & the island state.Although Hawaii has one international airport & many other airports you should expect a reasonable CBP presence all the time you fly including from island to island within the state.

Not only that,despite being a liberal state, ICE seems to be doing a few immigration operations there.Hawaii should also not be considered like any other state since you'll be living on an island.I'm not profiling,but here in the lower 48 in states such NY,FL or CA you can easily blend in because of the easily very large immigrant populations but I don't think the same can be said for Hawaii,unless you happen to be of Asian descent......but these are just my concerns with anyone who should be thinking of traveling there.

I might be to late.. but I am from Hawaii.. & Ive traveled back & forth with only my Passport... hope that helps

I know you can travel to hawaii with your passport or driver's license... (I know many people that used their passports-without a visa- to get in and out of there...)
But I'm almost 100 % sure you can't go to Puerto Rico...

I heard that to go to Puerto Rico you only need an official government issued ID such as a state ID or Driver's License, since its a US territory. I wouldn't travel with just a passport. It can be risky. But if you have a drivers license or state id, then you should be fine.

I had the same question.. I've flown within the lower 48 states before but I had my doubts since I would be leaving the continent to go to Hawaii, but should be alright it is still the same country...
