Re: Absentees Push Franken Senate Lead to 312
And it's ALMOST official, Senator Al Franken everybody. And Im 100% sure he backs Dream.
Final steps to certification: 1. The Election Contest Court must issue a final ruling. The current Franken lead is greater than the sum of the Dinkytown ballots and all alleged overcounting, so there is little doubt that the court will rule in favor of Franken. The ruling may or may not order that a certificate of election be issued by the Governor. 2. Coleman will appeal to the MN Supreme Court. The court may or may not take the case, and may or may not stay the order for a certificate (if such an order is issued by the EEC). 3. If the MNSC hears the case, it will have to rule. It is not entirely clear when that might happen, but previous appeals to the Supremes in this matter have been very fast. |
