Armed Forces

do you guys think this applies for Dreamies as well once the Act is passed? |
Re: Armed Forces
i would think so, or well... i really hope so.
after all, serving in the military for 2 years would grant us permanent residency with dream act right? so what if we serve for longer than 2 years? shouldnt they give us more than just green card? the MAVNI program which allows enlistment of legal aliens (visa holders) grants them with citizenship after 6 months of service (though they contract for 3 or 4 years. so they would be serving the country AS an american citizen after six months), i think i can see similar thing happening to dreamies, longer enlistment option, volunteer to serve in hostile zone, or any other alternate options toward faster citizenship and or other bonuses. |
Re: Armed Forces
From what it says, we'd probably be able to apply for citizenship the day after you Graduate BMT (Basic Military Training) and are on active-duty in your Branch.
