Hey, although most colleges require a SSN, I believe you can still enroll with a international student status(but it would be expensive). I would suggest to go out of state if possible, youll have more choices of schools. If not, try to take some classes at a community college near by, itll keep you busy and you can earn some credits.
it really sucks to be in this kind of situation, and i know how torturous waiting can be, but you just gotta endure and do your best to outlast it. keep your head up high man, we r all in the same boat |
Re: what else is there to do?
I know what you're going through. I graduated a year ago from HS and just finished my first year of college. What I did was go to community college and you still get accepted, the only catch is you do have to pay the international rate. It's very expensive, so I recommend only taking as many classes as you're sure you can afford. Trust me I know it's hard but you'll pull through. You can always transfer later.

Okay I'm in FL I know that in Miami, MDC lets you attend even if you are undocumented, that is actually an option when filling out the application where it asks for Status. You would have to pay international student rate yeah but slowly you can advance credits until Dream passes... By the way, you should type properly, it's not that much harder and it is easier to understand you.
P.S.: anyone thought of doing school online? I am taking classes with Penn Foster College, for I found that they are regionally accredited and I contacted MDC and they would transfer the credits, they are much cheaper and more flexible to pay. I must say, though, that I have been slacking and the semester is taking me way too long. I was just wondering since I have never seen this topic come up... |

You have to pay out-of-state, not international. |

well they call it Non-resident and it's more than 3 times than what resident students pay. 312 per credit, for a 3 credit class it's 936, that is a whole semester online. Crazzy.... |
