Re: Senate Dems push healthcare to September
Senate Democrats are such a spineless species. So frustrating.

There's time. Sen. Conrad said a week and a half ago the Senate will be in session until Christmas Eve this year.

Well at least they don't have to debate energy in the house! I hope its debated fast. Maybe they'll vote in the health bill in two weeks max, which will be at the same time in the house. I think immigration reform will be next considering the bill will be introduced by labor day!

Re: Senate Dems push healthcare to September
Can the senate introduce a bill during recess? I am confused! How can a bill be introduced if they come back to from vacay after Labor Day? Someone is lying. Maybe that article I read yesterday stating that experts are saying CIR won't happen until 2012 is true! I want to be legal before the world ends.
"Amidst hysteria among some groups that 2012 will be a year of chaos, and even Armageddon, there is a glimmer of hope that 2012 may not be all that bad (at least for those in favor of Comprehensive Immigration Reform or “CIR”). On a webinar hosted today by the CUNY Citizenship & Immigration Project called, “A Path to Citizenship for Undocumented Immigrants: Update and Advice,” Jeanne Butterfield and Allan Wernick gave their expert perspectives on a potentially forthcoming Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill. While they were sure to point out that right now is too early to know much of anything (pointing out that “it may never happen”), they predicted that if a bill passes, it will likely be sometime between 2010 and 2012. Specifically, Ms. Butterfield stated that the lion’s share of the action would take place during the early part of 2011." |
