*scholarships!

hi!

I am about to start school in August, and I wanted to know if you guys knew of any scholarships offered to immigrants? I know its probably to late for this upcoming semester, but maybe for the following semesters I can apply.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Tania

You should get in contact with somebody at your university or community college who you believe you can trust. They will be alot of help, otherwise just search scholarships on this forum, I believe it's been posted many times before ^.^

Check this website out, I found it helpful. It gives you a few sites to check out and apply for private scholarships.

Financial Aid and Scholarships for Undocumented Students

Hope it helps :)

surprisingly that did not work out as great as I suspected, it would depend a lot on them doing more research then you have for a matter they did not themselves experienced or they may have not seen before, as I learned from seeking help in my school. (then again, I have not heard or seen any hints that anyone else shares my status in this particular school)

but yeah, this topic has been discussed quite a bit as it is a very common concern amongst members on this site, so you should find valuable information compiling all our experiences and research on this particular.

From my understanding the only scholarships dreamers are only able to get are the private organization ones. i could be wrong but i went to a local community college here in az and i told the counsler up front about my situtation and she was very helpful about it. it doesnt hurt to ask, yet again we can't be hiding in the shadows, but be proud of who we are and they defiently respect of my/our ambition to learn and get ahead in life... my two cents but good luck!!
