photographer interested in creating a photo essay about the DREAM ACT students

Hello everyone,

I am looking for DREAMERS who live in New Orleans and nearby areas. I would like to make a photo essay about the life of DREAM Act students. Is anyone interested to participate or help me get in contact with the DREAM Act students they know?

I have been following the developments surrounding the DREAM Act since 2007. I fully support this Act. In addition to being an immigrant myself (I came to the US when I was 12), I helped write and design the DREAM Act toolkit for ILRC in San Francisco.

Thank you for your help!!

Does it have to be New Orleans? And what about a Dreamie that is now legal through marriage? You can email me if interested..

The real question here is: what is it in for us? And when I say "us", I really mean "me".

Right now I do not think that it matters if the person photographed is actually out of status. I am looking to photograph people who were and are DREAM Act students.

As for incentives, I want my photography to aid the passage of the DREAM Act.

Do you guys know anyone closer to my area?

You might want to contact Dream Activist at:

They might know someone from New Orleans who can help you complete your project. Hope that helps.
