question about the dream act
I've recently read about the dream act and I've read somewhrere that if any one has gotten a job or attended school and lied about their status and got away with it, they would immediately be disqualified from the act.. Anybody else read this anywhere else? Is it true? If it is...I'm dead meat :(

however, I have not heard or read anywhere specify what would be considered fraudulent behavior to disqualify you from the DA. I think this is mentioned in the INA act that is referred in the current DA either in the senate or the house. |
Re: question about the dream act
None of us are sure if/when DREAM Act passes how carefully they will look into our backgrounds (ie: check if any of us put US citizen on a college application or anything else).

Re: question about the dream act
Oh no, I'm scared I don't know what I should do, If I'm going to lose the chance of being accepted into the dream act by going to school illegally should I keep attending ?

Re: question about the dream act
Here is how I see it. They will bitch about you not working and being a ‘burden’ to society. But when you get a job, pay taxes and work illegally they will bitch about you lying about you status – you can’t win. I say fuck ‘um. I pay tax on every penny I earn (as I feel I should). I do not have any qualms about representing myself as a USC. It’s the immigration system that’s fucked up not me! Hell, I should be a USC by now (and I could have been if I married for papers). I will not let them run my life into the ground. I live my life. I have gained the experience I need to make a decent living if/when they deport my ass to the EU.
I’m a bit of a control freak. I need to know that I am running my life and not the politicians that keep ‘postponing’ our lives because they are not deemed important enough to them. I will face the consequences if I need to but I will not be their bitch….! |
