Can the 2010 census benefit us?
We all know that 2010 is a congressional election year, and this might work to our disadvantage because politicians might be more conservative in order to get re-elected.
But 2010 being an election year could also mean that politicians will try to get as much done as possible before the session ends, and immigration reform will finally be discussed. I haven't heard much talk about the census around here. [Or perhaps I've missed those discussions] Can the census work to our advantage especially in the House of Representatives? Reps might get more constituents in their district, giving them more power. [Of course, some might fear redistricting and diminished power, too.] So..what do you think? |
