I need help!
 

First I live in Northern NJ.

I came to USA when I was 14, turned 15 two weeks after that and I am now 24 and will turn 25 in the mid of next year. I went to high school but dropped out I remember in my senior year; because my parents split/I found out that I couldn't go to college, (but would have to pay 3 times more than a "regular" person) and I was feeling literally like crap so I made the greatest mistake so far in my life and did not end my last year of school.

Now I went to the high school and I have to go Monday again but they told me that they couldn't find records of me, and that in the worses case I would have to do 4 years again! or get a GED.

I tried to get a GED, but the institutions that are legally allowed to provide me with one require me to present to them a STATE ID!!!!

I am desperate for help so if you know of a place in NJ where I can get my GED or even out of state like Maryland and info like how long I would have to wait and stuff. Here in NJ I can pay $30 and take my GED just like that but being that I have no state ID I am in deep trouble I fear.

You really need to look into the School's Record keeping. You did finish 3 years of High School already! There should be records of that no excuses, no fault of yours! I'm assuming you went to ask for your records from the same High School you dropped out of right? I hope everything works out for you. Keep all of us updated, we are all here to support you!

ahh thank you buddy. If I could only find a place where they will take my passport and proof of address I would be in heaven right now.. I will def go to the high school tomorrow (the same HS of course) and see what they say but even having to do a full year is inconvenient because I need to work to pay my bills so a GED would be as I said heaven to me.

I hope someone from NJ that knows where I can go reads and replies to this!
