Few weeks ago, I was working on a short video clip about my story. Finally I completed my video and I would like to share with you guys. Would you please take a few minutes to watch it and send it to other people you know?
Also, if you know anyone who would like to learn more about me or about the federal DREAM Act, please send them to my website: http://www.joinju.com/ Thank you so much! |

Re: A Korean Student Shares a Secret
Do not even think to believe that what u said is a shame. It is a shame that contrary to what most believe there are a lot of undocumented people that serve as a scapegoat for politicians and people with interest to bring arguments to other nations about why we are here while North Americans are blind to the real fact behind poverty many times sanctions imposed by USA thanks to fear and ignorance to their own countries. USA won't deal with Cuba but will with China so Hypocrisy has no place with me!
I thank you for raising your voice and hope that once the immigration reform becomes a reality we can all work as one people and never forget about the people that suffer around the world because of greedy people who use the USA's flag to protect themselves from the punishment they deserve for breaking the rules of trade and human rights all around the Globe where they can get away with it. Electronics trash sites in China, cheap labor from corporations in other parts of Asia Europe and America, South, Middle and North. We the people of the world deserve better than to have to run to other nations fearing lack of opportunity poverty and corruption. I was brought here by my parents when I was little because my original country was in tremendous debt to the world bank which in turn is financed by huge corporations and people with money who act as lenders asking for interest on loans that my original country used for schools and medicine. Because my original country had so much debt and by not paying it there would be sanctions people in that country even considered privatizing education which thank for the people it didn't happen because of protests and riots. If schools would have been privatized than more people would have considered abandoning the country. That is not right. It is abusive and uncaring for other fellow human being. And people with money get away with it because they are doing the country a "favor" by lending money needed for basics. What a SHAME! and Thank You for feeling the need to talk about how important it is for you to study. I am sick of people who have all the opportunity in the world to study and contribute to society and rather take welfare and don't train for the good paying jobs that are going unfilled right now. They bring unemployment up by collecting from the government and send us all into chaos by not recognizing that there are plenty of jobs that if they went to school and trained for them they could get. This people want everything handed to them and blame the undocumented worker and student for the problems of the country and taking "their" tax money when undocumented people cannot apply for unemployment only people with the right paper work. Undocumented people often pay taxes and have no rights, no access to an education, preventive medical care, or a voice in the community; things that are for the dignity of a person. I hope that you never forget this, and don't turn your cheek to others once you are documented. Bless. |
