Restaurants I guess. I've been looking for a temporary part time with no luck and it's already been a month. Everyone keeps telling me to try back in March.

don't go looking at large chain stores or franchises that's for sure. well first of all what was your previous job? check private owned stores or restaurants

what kind of jobs have you guys gotten from craigslist?

also, would it be too risky to apply at starbucks, borders and barnes and noble? they use e-verify, right? i've never bothered applying at large chain stores before for obvious reasons, but very few other places near me are hiring, and i can't afford to spend a ton on public transit to go to work... has anyone here worked at these places?

They require a CRIMINAL background check. Thats it. They will make sure youre not some crack head that will steal shit. Any job "they" can get we can get with the proper tools
