Help ME?

hello first post here ..

I'm getting really stressed because I'm graduating high school in 2 years and don't know how I'll pay for college. I have a perfect gpa and expect to finish high school with 9 AP classes and 10 tests. I was wondering if there are any full scholarships for undocumented immigrants. I've heard that some universities grant international students with this, but I'm not sure I would be considered an international. I lived in the US since I was 7. Any help is appreciated; thank you in advance.

hi mica, you're in a lot better position than many people here who are simply stuck. You still have 2 years to burn so don't be stressed so much.

Nice job on your academics. You will need those achievements no matter what so please don't feel its wasted

With that said, I am unaware of full scholarships for undocumented students. However, there are relief funds for students that may have been sponsored by cultural groups. I know Mexican / Hispanic groups have their own pool of scholarship money awarded to undocumented students. That will require research on your own...

Good luck.

Luckily you still have two years left.. Some of us are already in our college years.. For one, make sure to stay on top as far as school..And apply to as many schools and scholarships as you can.. I've heard that if you can get into an Ivy League school, there's a way for them to help you out financially. Just do your research.. If you're at the top of your class I'm pretty sure there will be some sort of scholarship money out there for you.

Believe it or not, you still got plenty of time, and you have something that most of us didn't have when the DA was first introduced which is the knowledge that promises aren't necessarily guarantees.

If you are serious about going to college and your gpa is as good as you say then you will have no problems finding some university that will take you with a full tuition covered, there have been people on here who got that. The problem will be expecting a full ride from one particular university simply based on your academics.

One serious advice I can give you is to really think about what you want to study or better yet study something that you are interested in yet something that will allow you to get a job somewhere else in case the DA doesn't pass.

using the search function will help you get a list of schools that give scholarships that dont care about status. yes, if you have a perfect GPA, that many AP's, EC's and great SAT scores you will be able to go somewhere on a full scholarship.

Continue working hard and keep an eye open for scholarships that you may qualify for. If for some reason you can't get into a university, for financial reasons (which I doubt if your grades are good), please do yourself a favor and at least go to a community college. Don't wait for congress to pass some sort of reform. That's a big mistake. I know several people who did so and they regret making that decision.
