Re: Hi, I live in NYC
hey welcome, omg ur story sounds exactly like mine. i work at a lab too, underpaid cause i dont have papers, but im hoping to go to medical school this fall, take ur mcat, do everything ur friends are doing, if you apply to the right schools, u might be able to finish ur medical degree, just look for scholarships( i knwo not as easy as it sounds) or find a us resident co signer for loans. Im hoping to find a cosigner..i dont have a plan after i get my degree, just hoping God has mercy on us.
Good luck |

Re: Hi, I live in NYC
Welcome. I know exactly how you feel, I'm also pursuing medicine and will be taking my mcats this year. I'm gonna do the best I can and apply. Don't lose hope. If I get rejected I'll just try again next year.

Re: Hi, I live in NYC
Dont feel depressed. I know its hard what your going through. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Your not alone. Every one of us here had had the same emotions. This isnt your fault. The law is messed up. Your already a citizen. The country just hasnt passed the law yet to recognize you :)
This situation we are all in have caused us to be shy and introverted. Fight it. Your young only once. You be outgoing, freindly and LOUD. You go to the clubs and do what all you crazy 21 year olds do. I missed my chance to take part of life when I was 21. I am now 28. Dont make the same mistake I did. You live your life. And in the meantime, something will happen with our status. President Obama will pass some laws to help us. Do not think because democrats lose majority that immigration reform is dead. For immigration reform to pass, you would need both republicans and democrats. Your not alone. Remember that. In the meantime you get your diploma and whatever skills you will need when you get your green card. I can tell your one smart cookie. So while your waiting you get your degrees. Life isnt over just because you dont have a GC. Dont be afraid to go out and meet new people. You be outgoing. |
