Re: Dem leader makes immigration bill bigger priority
This is just what we needed... this is great news. We better get calling Lindsey Graham so he gets going on a bill (and also so he doesn't become problematic about immigration coming before climate change). He's trying to win some votes over passing a climate bill and decreasing dependence on foreign oil, which is great, but we can't let that get the best of us. This is our chance, and with financial reform done soon, debates should be starting soon

Re: Dem leader makes immigration bill bigger priority
yeah he'll vote for it but they haven't written a bill yet, and thats something we gotta put pressure on
and i meant this is our chance on having CIR passed, not our chance on calling Graham... |
Re: Dem leader makes immigration bill bigger priority
How is Climate and Energy Bill more important anyways? I don't see advocates, organizations and other politicians pushing it as hard as CIR in the past 10+ years.
This is about America's future, education and families. |
Re: Dem leader makes immigration bill bigger priority
I think we have 60 votes. They need to rush this bill like the HCR and pass it.

If they vote on CIR and it does not pass, how long will it take for it to be brought up again?

Re: Dem leader makes immigration bill bigger priority
Senator Schumer and Senator Graham need to craft a bill quick before even deciding on whether to tackle immigration, unless they already have one and have yet to reveal it. They are seriously slacking big time!
