Wtf...
Got this from thedreamiscoming.com: in regards to the hunger strike, Chucks reply, as to why the dream act is not being moved forward as a stand alone.
At that meeting, Ali Noorani, the executive director of the National Immigration Forum, Frank Sharry of America’s Voice, Deepak Bhargava of the Center for Community Change, and representatives of the Catholic church stated that they did not want Senator Schumer to move forward with the DREAM Act. http://www.thedreamiscoming.com/2010...one-dream-act/ |

Re: Wtf...
I don't see how your title is relevant to your article, other than the sentiment we're all feeling.
I think this article/statement was already discussed albeit not in its own thread. |
Re: Wtf...
These people in favor of Comprehensive Immigration Reform legitimately think that DREAM would jeopardize CIR passing in the future.
I am honestly so confused and don't know what to think or believe. I want DREAM, but I want CIR too. Before we know it, one or the other or neither will happen. Who knows.... My English teacher kept talking about immigration and how Rep Debbie Riddle plans to introduce legislation like Arizona; he said he is confident it will pass here in Texas, that even though Governor Perry opposses, he will not veto. I hope he's wrong. But as we were having this immigration discussion in the class, I now know who I don't like among my classmates. |
Re: Wtf...
If this kind of legislation passes here in Texas, I am screwed. Good thing I will be done with school in one year.

The Catholic church and everyone else that is supposedly on our side needs to shut the fuck up.

Re: Wtf...
All the recent news lately have been really like BS! I feel like I've been staved in the back. Heck the only other bad thing that would make all this seam like hell is if Durbin would also come out saying that he can't/doesn't want to support us anymore. In times like this I even feel like moving back to Mexico. I live in AZ btw.
