You are misinformed BigDreamer09:
You can use an ITIN along with a valid passport from your home country as proof of identification number -an ITIN can be obtained by anyone in the United States regardless of immigration status. -a valid passport can be obtained at your home countries consulate office within the United States. For your Proof of Identity you will need the following: -Original or certified copy of a foreign birth certificate with a notarized English translation. If you do not have an original or certified copy of your birth certificate you can have a friend or relative still living in your home country help you in obtaining one. Otherwise there are accredited companies that specialize in this. You pay them $100-200 and they send a company representative in your home country to pick you up a copy of your birth certificate and mail it to you.
