complicated situation.. help

Ok so my legal first name contains a really bad meaning in english so i asked my counselor if she can do anything for me since i can't legally change the name and she told the principal about this and the principal allowed me to change my name in the school database because he understood that i was having hard time at the school and everyone would make fun of my name.. The problem with me is that since the transcript that i will be getting has a slightly different name than the name that is listed on my passport, what should i do when the dream act passes? I am pretty sure they will ask this transcript is not mine and they will assume that i am using others..

Help please :(

Oh and if the dream act passes, will i be able to change my name officially to other one?.. Thanks

If you can retain your original name, I suggest you do so. Don't let people's stupidity win by giving in. Only immature individuals make fun of someone's name.

Better safe than sorry, keep your current name.

First, you need to check again with the school to see what name is used for your transcript ! By law, the principal couldn't change the name on your official record; he could give you a slightly different name on school database. But when it comes to official transcript, he's obligated to use your legal name.

My passport has four names(First Name-Middle Name-Last Name-Mothers last name)

Under all my school records I am only listed as my first and last name

Have your principal maybe sign some sort of document stating that your name was changed because it was deemed inappropriate.

I agree, I'd hate to see someone not have the opportunity to benefit from the dream act over something like this. Best of Luck!
