Washington D.C. - In a speech tonight at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Gala, President Obama endorsed the DREAM Act and renewed his commitment to achieving comprehensive immigration reform. The following is a statement from Ali Noorani, Executive Director of the National Immigration Forum.

"We're thrilled that the President has promised to put the full weight of his administration behind the effort to pass the DREAM Act. His commitment is timely and this proposal represents one of the best opportunities for Republicans and Democrats to work together on a common sense proposal that is good for America and would move us to a more sensible and fair immigration policy.
