Citizenship through military Service

Question:

When the Dream Act passes, if i choose to serve in the military would section 329 of INA trump the 6 year waiting period the Dream Act Sets.

As in, can i apply for citizenship after serving during wartime?

(All immigrants who have served honorably on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces or as a member of the Selected Ready Reserve on or after September 11, 2001 are eligible to file for immediate citizenship under the special wartime provisions in Section 329 of the INA. This section also covers veterans of designated past wars and conflicts.)

Trust me, that's NOT true.

My boyfriend who is currently in the Army told me about a man who came from Canada served and was even deployed. When he came back from deployment they were trying to deport him.

With that being said, my boyfriend is an immigrant himself, he had to wait such a long time to become a US citizen. He's been in the military 10+ years.

Actually I read a story like that, even if they unlawfully enlist in the military once they go to war and come back they can apply for citizenship even if they're illegal, even if they lied on their application, even if they used a fake social security number to enlist, it's a law, crazy huh?

http://dreamact.info/forum/showthrea...t=16203&page=2 look at ivan81's post. this might be why though im not 100% sure.

I don't know how he did it but it definitely is possible and not many people know about it. I am guessing that there are certain recruiters that do this.

If this was the case, why aren't DREAMers right now joining the military? We wouldn't have the "military" portion on the bill.
