I don't understand jorge ramos's tweet. i don't know why DA has to be put on the agenda by Nov 18.

Btw, we'll get more detail of the picture after Obama's meeting with the Hispanic Caucus tomorrow

I think it might have to do with Kirk taking up the place of a DA supporter and saying that he will not for any reason vote yes on the DA (he takes the spot on the 29th of november), and I heard the Senate and House leave for the thanksgiving week, so after this week, they will return to vote on issues after Kirk is sitting there to vote.

As for the house, I think that as long as it comes up during the lame duck session we will be good.

The issue is that they know history, something like this was done in the Clinton administration to pass a controversial bill. And in the words of Ocean's Thirteen "[...] you don't do the same trick twice. You do different gag."

In any case getting back to reality, they do this they will know the reason they are doing this and they are worrying that the tactic might backfire in the following election or even when they bring it up it might ensure republicans are not willing to vote for the bill. Specially when Susan Collins hinted about a group she called the gang of 14 composed of 7 democrats and 7 republicans who in the past became a group to prevent what she considered unfair tactics from being used to force a legislation through.

I am really hoping that the reason Reid has been quiet lately has been because he has been trying to secure votes by holding secret meetings with some key senators, like a good strategist, hopefully its not a hide from the public maneuver because he thinks it will fail and does not want to confront after having such a strong stance that won him the seat.

REID WHERE ART THOU!!??

All I keep on hearing in the new articles that reference reid are his pre-election appearance in "al punto" that is worrying me a bit.

I think Reid laying low isnt a good sign. He was so vocal before the elections and after that nothing..Eh but i guess we just have to wait an see
