Ab540 Ruling

So I didn't hear anyone posting this.. I guess this Monday, the California Supreme Court ruled to keep AB540!

"On Monday, the California Supreme Court decided unanimously that illegal immigrants who graduated from state high schools can continue to receive lower, in-state tuition at California's public universities and colleges. It's the first state Supreme Court ruling of its kind in the nation.

The case was brought on behalf of citizens who are paying the higher out-of-state tuition rates. The group contended that lower tuition could not be offered to illegal students and denied to some citizens."

they dont understand that that undocumented student had to have been in high school IN California for three years. and if they spend the same time in a high school there they would have the same benefit

If I MOVE there (Cali address and everything) and want to go to College, can i still get in-state Tuition even though i graduated high school from another state? Or its only for Cal High school grads?

Only if you attended Cali high school for 3 years. So yes it's only for Cali grads.
