7 SEC. 7. RETROACTIVE BENEFITS.
8 If, on the date of the enactment of this Act, an alien
9 has satisfied all the requirements of section 4(a)(1) and
10 section 6(d)(1)(D), the Secretary of Homeland Security
11 may cancel removal and grant conditional nonimmigrant
12 status in accordance with section 4. The alien may apply
13 for adjustment of status in accordance with section 6(a)
14 if the alien has met the requirements of subparagraphs
15 (A), (B), and (C) of section 6(d)(1) during the entire pe-
16 riod of conditional nonimmigrant status.
This is what the bill says, son.

I have read it in both versions of the bill but I am still confused. Some are saying that you still have to be under 30 to qualify and those requirement that you already finished will count. Correct me if I am wrong?

It's looking like you won't be able to qualify after you are 30, even if you have a college degree. Don't quote me on it though.

Unless you have to meet Sec 4a1F. If you don't have to meet F then I am ok.

Just wait until we can read the actual bill. We might be splitting hairs for no reason.

christ....it literally says in the beginning that you have to be under 30 in order to be eligible to benefit under the dream act. thats the cut off age. not 31, not 40, not 50, not 60. the retroactive provision says that those individuals who have already satisfied the requirements can adjust status. that means anyone who is under 30 who already went to college/military can adjust status without having to go to college/military again. thats it. i dont know how much more simple it can get.

For the Retroactive benefits : It says that you have to meet Sec 4a1 but no where in there it says that you have to meeting Sec 4a1F. F is the part where the age-cap here. Correct me if I am wrong?

S. 3827 stated
Quote:

If, on the date of enactment of this Act, an alien has satisfied all the requirements of subparagraphs (A) through (E) of section 4(a)(1)
in the retroactive section, and the age cap was subparagraph F, in S. 3992 they do not single out any requirements meaning that the intention is every subparagraph under 4(a)(1), that includes subparagraph F, E, D, C, B, A...
