Anyone know php?
I know basic stuff but I am planning on paying Zend $3000 for training and so I can get certified for php development. Just wondering how you learned php?

Re: Anyone know php?
Paying to learn how to program... All you need is dedication, notepad++, some ebooks (torr..), and the occasional help from an online community like stackoverflow or this reddit community.

Re: Anyone know php?
computer scienstist>software engineer>computer engineer>history, english, or art major>certification. Having a degree looks better than having certifications specially when it comes to programmer jobs, you are going to be weeded out quickly because that's how it works nowadays. Even with a certification you can be a terrible programmer so it really all depends on your portfolio and how you do in the interview. BTW, certifications for open source languages is plain silly because everything is online.
tl;dr: A senior PHP programmer with no certs or degree will get your job. |
