Our situation is not unique
There are many, many countries who have undocumented immigrants and their children are and were in the same situation as us. Spain has granted amnesty more then once.Brazil has also. So has Israel. Many EU countries have over the years and recently an Island in the Carribean which I forgot the name. Why did they do it. Mostly for positive economic reasons, justice and compassion. Just google if you want to research it further.
And of course the US also granted amnesty. These countrys understood the economic benefits but also felt guilt having a second class population hiding in the shadows. As Obama once said "This is not America that we want, having a population of second class citizens". My point is this is not a unique situation and it is very surprising that it has gone on this long in the land of the free and the home of the brave. BTW: usually amnesty is granted to someone who has done something wrong. Explain to me what you did wrong? |
Re: Our situation is not unique
The problem in this country is that a hick elected from Oklahoma or Alabama can prevent people from New York to get papers.
Fucking la-la-land |
Re: Our situation is not unique
It's all about race. Let's face it, America is a country built upon racism. If we are all white, there ain't be no problem. However, in Americans' eyes, we're clearly all Mexican.

Re: Our situation is not unique
Remember the days when MC Cain used to say "they are also God's children" referring to Mexican immigrants?
