FE Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
Hello everyone,
A while ago I asked if any of you guys had taking the fundamentals of engineering exam. It seems that the requirement of SS is different on every state. Has anyone in Illinois taken it. If so what kind of identification is required. I am a mechanical engineer and I have no identification besides passport from my country and that is it. Thank you in advance for your responses. |
Re: FE Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
Yea I have the same question. I'm in NY and I also have passport from my country. What kind of ID do you need to take this test anyway?

Re: FE Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
I know most states require two forms of ID driver's license or passport and SS # But before in this forum some one mentioned that you could use your ITIN tax number and the matricular ID. It all depends on the state. Usually it is easier to find a job if you have passed the FE. That is why I want to take it.

Re: FE Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
I took the FE test last October and passed. I've used my ITIN number to register, and used my foreign passport (not expired) as my identification. Good luck to those of you who are taking the test!! By the way, I am from CA.

Re: FE Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
Congratulations on your success. Thank you for your response also. I will find out if I can do the same in Illinois. Illinois is pretty liberal too. Hopefully everything works out. Yay for engineers.
