There won't be an immigration reform until 2013 at the earliest.

With Mitch Daniels and Mike Huckabee deciding not running for president, it's clear that whoever wins GOP nomination for 2012 will be a Tea-Party backed hardliner and there will be no immigration compromise in between.

With Obama's re-election prospects looking secure enough that Obama's angering Jewish contributors with his 1967 border backing, the Democrat's focus would be on retaking the House and holding onto Senate. Then we can start talking about immigration reform as the priority in Obama's second term once Democratic takeover of congress is successful.

So plan your life ahead for the next two years assuming no immigration reform. If the GOP manages to hold onto the House, then it is a time to start thinking about going back home.

Apparently Australia is coming with a new immigration point system you need 65 points to get a permanent residency visa. Lets hope this is the case. Alot of us would be safe. It goes into effect july 1, 2011.

One Obama will win re-election don't trip on that.. If not like chessmaster05 said theres always Australia lot's of hot white ladies there and if you don't have a degree there's always the French Foreign Legion that's or ticket into Europe..

Worst case I see Obama keeping us waiting always with the idea next year is the year or in 2013.. I think I might be insane to have such faith ..

Damn theres always that possibility that when Obama wins in 2012 that he wont even care about immigration reform anymore. Think about it he wouldn't have to care about the hispanic community anymore he wont need votes anymore pass 2012 so he could just focus on other topics and just throw immigration reform in the trash, damn thats probably whats going to happen. Sad but true...

Even if Obama wins '12, there's no gurantee that Senate and House will be Dem majority.

But one can also argue that he will not have to worry about any more elections..hence he will start issuing executive orders left and right and doing everything possible to pass CIR. This is the scenario that I see but it might not be that easy if the Dems don't take the house back.

Where is the old John McCain who pushed for immigration reform?

You are forgetting Obama is the JFK of our time. He didn't grow up in white America he has been one of a very few presidents in history to achieve the presidency coming from a poor background.

Obama did not grow up learning history from the white perspective i'm sure he took black history and sees american from a minority stand point. He knows about slavery and all the injustices that have happen.

I have complete faith in Obama he is there to get things done!!! Not just be the president because he is a rich white man from a wealthy family.

Really goes to show you can not trust Republicans. I really really wish Senator Ted Kennedy was here today..he was the true CIR champion. McCain likes to jump on the bandwagon...dirty old man
