Will the school accept my expired CA ID as a form of legal identification?

I want to obtain a college ID and on the site it says they need legal identification such as passports and etc.

Usually the person making the college student IDs is a bored (or overworked, or both) part-time student worker. I doubt that they have had any sort of training to recognize what is a valid ID or not because a college ID isn't very important beyond the college campus.

Which college are you trying to obtain one?

At my community college, I just showed them my high-school student ID and they didn't even bat an eye and I got my CSID in like 2 minutes.
