mexican entrepreneurs
Hi all,
I was wondering if some of u have experience in investing in small businesses in your home country? I have always wondered about it, you know taking advantage of being a citizen of somewhere. I myself am a Mexican citizen and lucky for me there's going to be a convention here in LA about this. Here's the link. http://www.expomexicoemprende.com/home.html It's a bunch of workshops. I'm not a business major or anything but it sounds good and I think it might be helpful any thoughts? Has anyone else heard about this? |
Re: mexican entrepreneurs
it's a very realistic idea. it gives you a reliable source of income and pays the bills. obviously it's not a super money making investment but income is guaranteed compared to all the other shit jobs in mexico. the problem is that as soon as you open a semi-successful business in mexico, ten other business will try to copy your idea and essentially all will fail leaving you with little to no profit during that period, so you have to be very creative to stay on top and not go down the drain while the competition emerges. if it's a rural place youre planning on moving to -- think about it twice. cartels are uncontrollable and at any given moment you could have them at your doors;however, if it's in the city then you run the risk any business owner in the u.s. runs of being robbed. good luck keep us informed of your decision.
edit: wait.. what i dont understand from that website is if it actually requires you to move to mexico or it is manageable from the u.s? |
Re: mexican entrepreneurs
from the website these businesses are supposed to be managable from here in the states. The workshops are aimed @ teaching what types of businesses to invest in. Well from what i understand. Imma check it out and see how it goes. :)
