Mexican birth certificate?
If someone moved to US at age 2 and lost her birth certificate and now wants to get a mexican ID card & passport, how can she get a copy of her mexican birth certificate without having to go back to Mexico?

Re: Mexican birth certificate?
When we needed to get one for a relative who came here as a baby and didn't have a copy of the birth certificate we used a company called actaexpress ... it cost a couple hundred dollars, and you need all the usual information you would need for a birth certficate - date, place of birth, names and birth dates of parents etc. They have a representative who goes to whatever courthouse it is and gets the certified copy and sends it to you. They are on-line. There are other companies that do the same thing, but this one was recommended by someone who had used them before. I don't know about the passport.

So, one couldn't get a copy of the birth certificate through the Mexican consulate?
