Hi Guys,

just letting you know that I applied for my nursing license through the state of Maryland and just received my license! they will give it to you without SSN as long as you graduated from a good accredited nursing program and pass your NCLEX!

all those who want to become a nurse, don't give up! Hopefully this will encourage you, you can do it!!!! I am now working on getting my BSN via RN- BSN program online through university of Texas at Arlington. :)

this organization is about to publish "After College guide for undocumented students" and that has a lot of helpful information about what to do when you graduate. It has some nursing information as well if you want to become a nurse. I think they are publishing it soon!

went to a local community college, unfortunately they will no longer accept undocumented students, lot of California school is choosing not to since California board of nursing requires SSN to receive your license now

I have an ssn....hopefullu it can pass when i apply someday.

I've been thinking about becoming a nurse but I'm not sure if they'll ask for a SS (I'm in Texas). I noticed you mentioned you got your license through the state of Maryland. I didn't know that was possible. How did you do it? Did you have to personally travel to Maryland and take some test? Will you please fill me in with some advise?
