Re: Question for Dreamers who Went home
When I left the US, I was approached by zero members of any US government agency. I left like a ghost.
But I think it depends on the port of entry you chose. I left via the Columbia Solidarity Bridge, north of Laredo, Texas. The Mexico side is pretty lax. I've been told that if you enter via the Progresso bridge, you don't really get checked or stopped by anyone. |

I saw no government official from the USA when I crossed towards Tijuana in a car. Currently in Tijuana and not in any hurry to leave.

Re: Question for Dreamers who Went home
Yup, and he's saying that from Tijuana. If things are alright in Tijuana, you can believe they are alright elsewhere. Every Mexican I met from this part of the country would pretty much rather take up the butt without lube than live in one of the major border cities. But now I am willing to bet that its all drawn out of proportion and maybe it isn't as bad up there as everyone here says it is.

Re: Question for Dreamers who Went home
It's not that bad actually. Sure, the backroads aren't as well maintained as they were back in the US, and my students don't seem to take being on time seriously....but I have a real life now. Not nearly as bad as I expected.
