I am able to move to Canada if I have expired visa in the U.S.?

Hi,

So, I have been really looking in to move to Canada. Already, two immigration lawyers told me the best way is to get a job offer and go from there.

Is it possible....that if I get a job, that I can then immigrate to Canada?

I wish they could understand, that it was not my will to overstay my visa and stay in the U.S. illegally. I was a minor when my visa expired. Maybe, I could get a waiver or something?

Next thing, is where the hell do I get the money to move to Canada? I cant get a job...so wtf.

ugh....so frustrating, its unbelievable. Damn Americans dont understand it wasnt my fault that my Visa expired...

It's possible, but I think that you would have to go back to your home country first and apply there because technically your status here isn't qualified to migrate elsewhere. Check with the canadian consulate to be sure.

Good luck!

How about a tourist visa? Do I even need one to go to Canada?

I am from Hungary, but I live in California. I thought I mentioned that.

don't think you need one man:

another good option is to come and talk to a few people/businesses about employment. you might need to leave canada before becoming employable... perhaps you could apply for a temporary resident visa/work permit from within once you have the job offer...

Yes, I saw that site before.

To immigrate to Canada...First I would need to get the job offer in order to apply for a work permit.

In order to get a job offer, the employer needs to do everything they can to employ a Canadian. If the employer cannot find a Canadian, then they have the option to employ foreigners...IF they have LMO. LMO is labor market opinion, which allows employers to employ foreigners.

This is what Ive gathered so far. But, im still not sure whether or not I can just get up and go to Canada in my situation...

So, can anyone give me a job from Canada? It would be a lot easier that way.
