DREAM in Mexico
Haven't been here in a while but thought I'd share this for whoever would be interested.
DREAM in Mexico: "We are a Mexican nonprofit organization that seeks to support undocumented Mexican talents living in the U.S. by looking educational and employment opportunities for them in Mexico. As well to create a support community among these young people that have taken that important step and decided to return. We also seek to support the development and progress of Mexico by the repatriation of talented people and by social reconciliation. We strongly believe that Mexico has a lot of opportunities. The only thing that people need to grow, both professionally and personal, is the opportunity to do it. Education is power, it is progress and it is always beneficial for everyone." http://dreaminmexico.org/ |

Re: DREAM in Mexico
Kudos. Really good news for many Mexican dreamers who plan to return.
On a tangent, who is the attractive young lady with the plaid shirt? Damn. I'm in love. |

Re: DREAM in Mexico
Good! I'm planning on starting my master's soon. But I still want to go see my family in Nuevo Leon first though. At first before coming here I only thought about studding in Canada or another country; but being in Mexico close to your family is also nice specially during the holly days. As a last resort if I can't get that visa to study some where else its not like there aren't any schools in Mexico either. :)

Re: DREAM in Mexico
I don't know any more than what's on the website, I saw it on a friends fb page. I thought it was quite an initiative. I've advocated returning to Mexico once you hit a wall in the States, I was lucky enough not to have hit the wall but the times it seemed near I always had my foot halfway out the door. Its a way of taking control of your situation. Risky? Perhaps but so is staying here in limbo, waiting.

Re: DREAM in Mexico
i wonder if this isnt something a fellow dreamer also made, with the way the mexican govt cares about its ppl i doubt they where the ones who started it, it would be nice to see this get attention and maybe possible funding from the govt, talk shows are big in mexico and big names like lopez doriga also do news on tv, something like the teleton? not a bad back up plan, actually that could be the next step for mexico since education & migration are more respected there and they know they cant keep the country running off oil forever
