Citibank charged me for overdraft for something I didn't buy. The account summary is messed up, and they can't even tell you who charged it. They told me to wait until Monday, so the name of the purchase will show up. I was on campus at the time when it happened.
BTW the overdraft was happened on the 21ST, they didn't bother to tell me. I have to find out today morning by myself. You guys better watch out for bank charging overdraft fee, especially B of A |
Re: Unauthorized charges led to Citibank overdraft fee

Re: Unauthorized charges led to Citibank overdraft fee
An overdraft fee is fairly costly. It is even more expensive whenever you have a ton of little things going through at once. Fortunately, you have options to avoid the massive fee that might come. You can get a payday loan to put money in the bank and avoid the overdraft. It will typically be a lot less costly than just getting the overdraft fee.

Re: Unauthorized charges led to Citibank overdraft fee
Hi there, sorry to hear what happened to you. An overdraft charge at a bank can set you back a ton, particularly for those who have multiple charges. Even if those charges are only a few cents, you will get charged enormous overdraft fees. So beware of your charges and those who can steal your money.

Re: Unauthorized charges led to Citibank overdraft fee
NSF fees or overdraft can be avoided with a careful watch of your balance. If watching your balance is something you're not good at you can always just opt out of overdraft so your transactions don't go through. Go through your account agreement!

Re: Unauthorized charges led to Citibank overdraft fee
You can opt-out of "overdraft protection." In fact, I suggest you do. Look on your banks page, or call them up. Sure, your card may get declined, but that's what you keep an emergency credit card around for.
