hi my name is Alejandro A.
I have a question?
I haved lived in the U.S for over 17 years now gotten my G.E.D and tryed going to college for some reason my parents never applied for a green card and my father has been deported for over 6 years now and I want to apply but dont know where to start or who to contact or even if theres any laws that i could use to my advantage.so if anyone can help me out in any way i would be forever thankful!

Alejandro, what state do you live in? That would be a great place to start. If youre looking to apply to some type of legal documentation, then you should consult a lawyer (especially if you dont know what the situation is yourself).

If your father was in the process of applying for Residency the application probably failed hence why he had to leave the US.You should first give a detail account on :

-How did you enter the US ?
-Was your father's application for Residency filed before April 30th,2001?

My father never applied, My family entered the country illegally.
we have never applied for any sort of papers.
my father was involved in smuggling people into the us and got deportes so i feel thats why he didnt apply but I wouldnt know I was just a child not really knowing about this issues.

We need to know what state you live in. I advice you to start in a community college.

Since you Entered Without Inspection there aren't really that many options available at all.One also doesn't apply for a Green card it is actually applied on their behalf whether through an employer or immediate family member if they meet certain criteria[both the sponsor and beneficiary].

I don't think he is asking about how to apply for Green card. I think he wants to know how to apply to college with a GED and without legal status.

i smell trolling, or atleast like you want ppl here to baby you about this, half the stuff u asked couldn't take more than 5 minutes of googling thats like ur not even trying man and if u really are in the situation u say u are ur gonna have to put in alot more effort in life than this even getting info at ur college alone is gonna take u much more effort, especially if someone dont like u bc of ur status

sorry guys I been posting while at work so i do it all quick and dont explain well every thing but yeah I've attened college already atleast one semester here in virginia.thanks for the info guys
