I have 2 questions.
1. I have an official transcript that had a sealed envelope but i opened it because i wanted to know if it has all my school records from 2005 to 2011..
Do you think the USCIS will reject my application just because my envelope was opened o_o ?? I am so paranoid right now.... Currently i have these documents - an expired tourist visa that shows my legal name and date of arrival - Official transcript with a teared up envelope that proves that i have been in US for 5 years and it also shows that i graduated from the high school. - a document showing that i was present on 6/15/12 Are these 3 documents enough or am i missing something..? |

The documents should be fine, but no one can be sure until we get more information. |
Re: I have 2 questions.
i also opened mine but it shouldn't matter cause we were just trying to make sure what was in it. Mine was actually meant to be for my college but then the college said they had received my transcript in the mail so i kept the 1 in the envelope (which i opened yesterday).

Re: I have 2 questions.
they are accepting something as a print out of a bank statement showing account activity in the US to demonstrate your presence in the time frame... they are not colleges. An opened transcript should be fine.

Re: I have 2 questions.
I think you are ok as long as the opened transcript has a seal of the school or something that makes it look legit, such as a signature.

Re: I have 2 questions.
Why not just order another one just to be sure?

Re: I have 2 questions.
Ordering another official couldn't hurt, but also keep an unnoficial one on file...it's free...just in case. If you're worried about the official transcript being "ruined", then I don't see why you can't send both.
Everyone is still concerned about the June 15th thing....I know I am....but all I can say is wait until USCIS release more info. By the time they set up a process, most of our questions here may be answered. |
Re: I have 2 questions.
most likely yea I had to send a transcript to my college and they said if its not sealed and stamped on the edges of the seal they wouldn't accept it i guess USCIS should be as strict as that..
