Came to the US when I was 10 legally. Travelled back and forth a couple times (4x) internationally. The travel was only for summer vacations, and only amounts to about 3 weeks, but never exceeding two months. My visa expired in 2010, but haven't left the US since 2004 so I'm well within the 5yrs of continuous presence.

Does my travel outside the country after turning 15 count against me? Does becoming illegal after 2007 count against me also? All the times I travelled are well-documented in my passport

Um I believe that becoming illegal after 2007 is not an issue. However, you should consult a lawyer about traveling after you turned 15. However, I think it should be fine. Your visa issued that time may prove your residence but I'm not sure.

Read the Sticky about the Deferred Action requirements. It says something about leaving the country in the document.

As long as the time period abroad was not more than 90 days during the 5 year continuous presence period you should be ok.

Are you sure 90 or 180? I was looking at the old DA and some something about "break in presance beyond or under 180 days.????

It is basically both.I don't know if these same regulations apply with the Administrative relief and if they allow a break in the continuous presence period.

However,under S.952 the bill states that you cannot have been outside the US 90 days continuously during the 5 year continuous period or adding up to more than 180 days during that very same 5 year continuous period!

Damn, I have another* cousin who was adopted by US citizens in 1970's, she left when she was about 16 and came back to American with a 1yr and pregant, anyone, she never got the 1yr's papers, neither did she get her citizenship(based on beng adopted by usc's) Why i don't know???
Anyone her son who is now 21 or so didn;t have papers and went back to Home coutry for i think like 2 or three months when he came back he broke his hand, had to ahve surgery and stay 6 months then left about for another 2 or 3months.. This is where I think it will work for him, his father died during his second trip??? i was thnk ing he can say he went back home because the father was ill then came back "home" the went back when the father died???
