Talked to a Lawyer

So my mom decided to get a lawyer to do the application for us. We talked to the lawyer and apparently we are set, all i need is some more proof of me being here on 2006 and 20012. This lawyer is going to charge us $1000 + ~500 for the form and he is going to submit it all for us. I thought it was a lot of money but my mom was like i rather him doing so we don't screw up.... Anyways all i gather for documents were my report cards medical records and all i have left to add is bank statements. I put as many things i could fine from middle school - High school.

this is the form and its only the first page:

There is no indication or instructions that a G-325 would be used for this process while its a pretty good prediction of that attorney that the form could be used for this nothing has been said about it. And good for your mother for making the decision on getting an attorney.

Congressmen in news keep saying to run from people that want to charge you so much money. There is going to be so much help out there. Free clinics around your city. You need to do research. It's not going to be super hard.

Listen to this guy ^. If your case is not complicated, don't get the lawyer. $1000 is too much for something like this. Just send me or someone a PM with what you have and we'll help you out. And also don't submit any forms before the official form is released on August 15th!!

Yes, Congress man Gutierrez said most Dreamers/applicants will not need a lawyer/attorney and help will be available as Dreamer12 mentioned. Unless you have a criminal record, i would recommend not spending hard earned money on a lawyer. Just my 2 cents. Your decision though and i respect it.

$1500 is too much. That's highway robbery!

You haven't even SEEN the form that is required!

You haven't even SEEN the guidelines!

At most the lawyer is going to spend ~2 hours on your 1 or 2 page form. You're paying $750/hr.
