They will run a biometric check on your record. This means that you will be asked to go to a local office in which you will be finger printed. This will be used to make sure you're not wanted for any serious crimes or any crimes that you did not include in your application.

If you're not sure how clear is your background, you can ask your local police apt. for copies of your Criminal and Misdeminor records about $5 each

But note, they will arrest you if they find any warrants out on you.
