any1 hired lawyer for daca?

I hired a lawyer to do the DACA application for me, and she is sending me this email today asking me to sign a letter regarding the legal engagement and warning of risks, and she said for the amount i paid her shes not gonna attend the interviews or gonna represent me in courts for this or any other matter, i was wandering if this is normal?Any help would b greatly appreciated. also i came in with someone else's passport when i was like 10, and is this considered EWI or identity fraud? i think she filed identity fraud in the entry section. Shouldnt she has to go through everything yesterday? y would she send me this after i have paid her in full yesterday?

Sounds like she is trying to cover her self and leaving you with a lot of explaining to do.

sounds like a normal procedure... you are just covering the cost of filling out the application and if you have interview / court etc you will be charged $xxx per hour more... duh

Wow, she is really screwing you. Don't sign anything try getting your money back. Do everything by yourself, there is nothing out of the ordinary. May I ask how much did you pay?

Omg. DO NOT put u came in here w somebody else's passport. Use common sense. Ur admitting to FRAUD. Put EWI (entry without inspection). Putting EWI is not lying because u really werent inspectd. How much did u pay her??

Please don't send ur files until u have someone else review them. She sounds phoney to me :(

You are on your one way ticket home buddy. Lawyers only care about the money.

She is basically putting YOU at risk and doesn't want to be held responsible for it.

I remember going to one of the workshops and them saying identity fraud is a disqualifying misdemeanor. I wouldn't apply if I were you.

I hired a lawyer...myself as i will be a lawyer in the future. The liability papers she asked u to sign is standard procedure. DACA isn't a sure thing, and if u get declined or deported (or both) she wants to make sure u cannot sue her for incompetence.

As for the Identity Fraud part. It really does seem like she doesn't care about ur own well being. I remember when my aunt was doing her paperwork years ago, and she told her lawyer how she got here (the same way u did). Her lawyer literally said "it sounds to me like u entered the country without inspection. Only a fool would tell the government they entered the country through fraudulent paperwork, knowing that entering through those means would get u banned from the country. It definitely sounds like u entered without inspection." Or something like that...its pretty much close though.

They cannot tell u to lie on an application, they can however tell u the consequences of being honest.

It doesn't meant he shouldn't apply. Just apply as EWI since you personally were never inspected under your name. And like KDC stated... They cannot tell you to lie on your application hence not suggest you to hide the truth either but thats they way you should go.
